Alexandra + Tyler | Intimate, Barn Wedding | Gable Hill Events | Marcellus, MI

There's nothing quite like family. People who have known you since the moment you were born have a special perspective on you that no one else in the world can really have. They've seen you at your worst, at your best, your triumphs, and your embarrassments; and for Alexandra and Tyler, whose bridal party was made up of 90% family, we can clearly see how special their families are to both of them! Once you add these two and their families to the intimate setting of Gable Hill, the perfect blog for the day almost seems to write itself!
We already knew from our engagement shoot with Alexandra and Tyler that these two have some of the kindest souls we have had the honor of knowing this year, but once we got to see them around their friends and family, that kindness seemed to infuse their entire day with a unique beauty and spirit. From the first moments where Alexandra's sisters first saw her dress to watching these two graciously interact with each of their guests during the reception, each passing moment seemed to magnify the beauty of the day. By the time we left, we felt like "unofficial" members of the family, but if we think about it, Alexandra and Tyler simply make everyone they meet feel like that.
Nestled in the woods of west Michigan, one could easily drive by the little oasis that is Gable Hills if they aren't careful. While some weddings venues have large distances between buildings and locations, everything is perfectly placed at Gable Hill to allow for all of the festivities to happen within a short walk of each building. The barn grounds supplied not only the coziest ceremony space but also contained enough room for Alexandra and Tyler's entire reception to take place, from the first speeches all the way through to their live band performing late into the evening.
Alexandra and Tyler, we still think back to the Zoom call we had with you back in 2021, and as we ended the call, thinking to ourselves, "We really think we would like them!" Little did we know that we would truly come to love you two and the kindness you both have brought to not only our lives, but also the lives of everyone around you! It is so apparent that you both live to love and serve others, and we cannot wait to see that grow and thrive as you now get to love and serve each other as husband and wife!
All our best!
J + A
