The music, which started out softly, slowly rose as the voices of their friends and family started to join together to sing worship songs during the ceremony. As the songs continued, all eyes in the rooms turned and looked at Anna and Spencer, as they poured their hearts out in praise to God, thanking Him for bringing them together. For a moment, under the cross in the sanctuary, you could see a beautiful picture of the Gospel being displayed in real life, and we knew that this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment we were getting to be a part of!
During the ceremony, Anna and Spencer's pastor shared that their friends and family had all given him words that they felt described Anna and Spencer, and when we heard that both of them were described as "joyful" and "fun," we felt like we had actually crossed past the "photographer" status into "friend" status because we were thinking the exact same words! When you spend time with Anna and Spencer, you can't help but feel like there is extra joy and life in the air, and after their engagement shoot, we knew that this day was going to be marked by joy and the sheer excitement of getting married. From the first look where Spencer couldn't stop saying "You're so beautiful", to them both jumping up and down and shouting "We're married! Can you believe it?" during their husband and wife portraits, these two perfectly personify what "excited to be husband and wife" looks like!
Various locations plus creativity were the key to capture Anna and Spencer's day, as we quickly moved from Thornapple Covenant Church for their ceremony to The Red Shed for their reception and Cascade Park for their own bridal portraits! Thornapple clearly displayed how Anna and Spencer wanted God to be the main focus of their wedding, while Cascade Park provided the perfect amount of elegance and whimsical beauty for their bridal portraits! However, the party at The Red Shed was the perfect place to cap off their evening, as their friends and family all gathered on the dance floor to share in the excitement and joy that Anna and Spencer had been overflowing with for the entire day!
Anna and Spencer, the joy and laughter you bring to life literally shone on your wedding day! We saw it on your faces, we heard it in yours words, and now; we simply can't wait to see what is going to happen to you two, now that you are husband and wife! This journey that you have begun is such a sweet (yet sometimes crazy!) ride, and we can't think of two people who are better equipped for it than you two! Remember your vows, remember the promises, and remember to never lose that joyful, playful spark that you two share! All our best!

This small German prayer book was a book carried by multiple generations of Anna's family! The first inscription dated in this book was 1902. This day Anna also carried it down the aisle with her bouquet.
Cue the happy tears! Spencer was simply blown away by his beautiful bride and you couldn't help but tear up as you watched the sweet scene unfold.
