Ashley + Nick | Engagement Shoot | South Haven, MI

Snow has this incredible ability to take something and make it look simply "more magical." Whether you are looking at your backyard's perfectly soft blanket of snow or you happen to find a snow-laden forest where the wind hasn't knocked the snow off the trees yet, these moments of perfection don't stay for long. However, every once a while, we schedule an engagement shoot on a day where the light and the snow are perfect and the couple is perfect and everything is perfect and let's just stop talking and get to Ashley and Nick's beautiful engagement shoot!!

Ashley and Nick had the right idea when it came to their engagement photos; since they are getting married in Hawaii, why not get some variety and have their engagement photos in the snow? Although the temps were on the chilly side, we had barely started when Ashley said, "Wow, once we got started, it's not so bad now!" The more we spent time with them, the more we firmly believed that when these two are together, the rest of the world seems to fade away because they have so much fun with each other! We captured more photos with silly faces and laughter than we can remember in a long time, and when you add in the fact that South Haven just happened to be showing off this winter with some stunning snow falls, this session reminded us why we love winter engagement shoots!

Ashley and Nick, when we left South Haven, we felt this tinge of sadness because we had just started to get to know you two! The fun you both have with each other is so evident, and we can clearly see how that brings life and joy to each other. We can't wait to celebrate from afar with you when you get married later this year. Have such a great time in Hawaii and enjoy the fact that you aren't taking photos in sub 20 degree temperatures for your wedding!
