Bailey + Ryan | Engagement | Warren Dunes State Park | New Buffalo, Michigan

We are all taught from a young age, "If at first you don't succeed, try try again." But when it comes to life, putting this little adage into practice can be hard, or even frustrating at times. However, Bailey and Ryan displayed incredible patience and grace after their engagement session was rained out not once, but twice in the last two months! With their wedding in August quickly approaching, the four of us knew that we were running out of time, so we decided that Warren Dunes would be the location of our third try. And to say that the evening was a "success" is a huge understatement!

As the evening started, we quickly realized that although Bailey and Ryan said that photos weren't really their thing, they absolutely excelled from the beginning of the evening on the dunes all the way to the sunset on the edge of Lake Michigan. Smiles naturally flowed from these two, and as we got to spend time with them, we found ourselves smiling more and more too while the evening went on. That's the joy of spending an evening with someone you haven't met before, the first few minutes are filled with wondering how the rest of the evening is going to go. But soon, you find yourself enjoying the time more and more to the point that when the sun has gone down and it's time to leave, you find yourself sad that it's already over. Thankfully, their wedding is only a few months away, and Bailey and Ryan will be the first wedding of our "triple weekend" coming up in August!

Bailey and Ryan, you two are absolute naturals in front of the camera, and we believe a huge part of that is how comfortable you make each other feel. It is so easy to see that you are "at home" when you are with each other, and we can clearly see that in each of your portraits. Thank you so much for an evening full of fun and laughter as we explored Warren Dunes together. We are so glad that the saying "third times the charm" holds true, and that now the four of us simply get to look forward to celebrating your wedding in August!
