As beach goers sat along the hillside, they suddenly heard a strange sound that caused their heads to turn and scan the shoreline to find where it was coming from. One could have called it a cross between a bark and a yelp, but while the rest of the crowd looked around, Brigitte and Jason knew exactly who was making the noise. Their newest addition to the family, Navy, was experiencing the beach (and sand) for the first time and was a little salty that her mom and dad were having fun taking pictures while she was forced to watch from a distance. However, Brigitte and Jason simply smiled, knowing that they had already planned on making Navy a major part of their engagement photos, and this little puppy was soon cuddled up in her mom and dad's arms, happy as could be.
Although Brigitte and Jason hail from Chicago side of Lake Michigan, they felt a beach like Warren Dunes State Park was calling their names for their engagement session! Since their proposal happened to be on a day when the temperature was below freezing, Brigitte and Jason both agreed that any photos leading up their wedding would need to happen somewhere where it was warm and sunny. Thankfully, Michigan decided to hold onto summer for a few more days and gave Brigitte and Jason the best weather possible for their beach side engagement shoot!
Brigitte and Jason, although we definitely were not planning on "getting our steps in" during your engagement shoot, we are beyond thankful for the extra time we got to spend with you as we walked along the beach. As we heard your stories about everything from work to how you got Navy, we found ourselves wishing that we didn't live so far away, because we simply wanted the night to keep going. We are already so excited to see you two again at your wedding and maybe by that time, Navy will have a friend of her own on this side of Lake Michigan!
All our best!
