Love comes in many forms. Sometimes it's in a surprise bouquet of roses. Sometimes it's making your spouse their favorite meal for them to come home to. Sometimes it's holding hands on a long car ride. And sometimes....it's giving up watching your favorite baseball team play in a National League Championship game for engagement photos. So....can you guess which one is true about Casey and Joe?
We met Casey almost one whole year ago on Instagram, and after chatting with her on our DMs, we knew that she and Joe were something special! We wound up parting ways until about a month ago, when she reached out again, asking about wedding photography! (Spoiler: We said YES!) Although their wedding is next year, we knew that they wanted to get their engagement photos and save the dates done quickly, so we gambled on hoping for good weather on a Michigan October weekend.
Even though the "tourist" season for South Haven is officially over, Casey and Joe instantly knew that they wanted their hometown to be the background for their engagement shoot! Pilgrim’s Haven proved to be the perfect location, full of trees and fields for their dog, Baxter, to play around in! Baxter was able to photobomb quite a few of their photos too….that is, when he wasn’t trying to make a break for the lake!
Casey and Joe, we can only describe your engagement shoot as a complete and utter “BLAST!” From popping Champagne to chasing Baxter, your love of life and energy in everything you do tell us that you both are on the road to an amazing life married to each other.
