Courtney + Matt | Engagement | Milham Park, Kalamazoo

Their relationship started because of softball. Matt asked a friend on the team, "Know any single girls?" Her reply, "Yes! Courtney!" And the rest, as you will now see, is history.

This couple is one of those power couples of 2020. When their wedding got cancelled due to the past months events, they boldly moved ahead, set a new date, and kept smiling. Courtney and Matt, we know all these decisions couldn't have been easy, but we admire your perseverance and joy through the whole process! September is going to be the best month yet!

These two just beam around each other! We had a such special time getting to document this engagement phase of their life and watch them glow with joy and happiness. We always try to encourage each and every one of our couples to enjoy THIS phase. This one-time engagement season is so short. Calling your loved one your "fiancé" will eventually not happen anymore as "fiancé" eventually turns into "husband" or "wife". Now don't get us wrong, marriage is the absolute "icing on the cake," but the engagement time is also super special and worth enjoying and celebrating for the time that it lasts!

We also cannot forget to mention sweet Nana. Their grandma drove separately all the way to the photoshoot location just to bring their dogs for some photos and then watch them while other photos were being taken. Once we were done with the puppy photos, Nana drove them home so Matt and Courtney could have a date night on their way home. An act of true love. Nana, we can already tell that you hold a very special place in Matt and Courtney's hearts and we can't wait to see you on their special day!

Courtney and Matt, we couldn't be happier for the two of you! Keep laughing around each other, loving on your dogs, holding hands while walking, and facing every obstacle together as a team. We are so excited for September to get here!
