Emily + David | Crisp, Winter Wedding | The Inn at St. Johns | Plymouth, MI

The great hall echoed with the steps of Emily and her father as they walked into the sanctuary. Every eye turned to see this gorgeous bride enter the chapel, her arrival instantly putting the stained glass windows and exquisite organ to shame. Although the walk to the altar had seemed long to Emily in the past, this time, it felt like mere moments before she was standing next to David, the love of her life. This day, which had already been filled with beautiful moments, was now causing her heart to almost overflow as she and David prepared to finally become husband and wife.
The laughter and good times from Emily and David's engagement shoot still resonated in our memories as we pulled up to their venue. Thankfully, the hustle and bustle of the wedding day changed nothing about that beautiful dynamic, and we were instantly laughing again as Emily and David whisked us away on a journey through their wedding day! Although Michigan tried to send cold, rainy weather to ruin Emily + David's day, the fortuitous timing of their Friday wedding allowed them to slip right under the storm on a day that could only be described as a perfect December day for a wedding!
From the grandiose, historic sanctuary at the chapel of St. Johns to the modern, industrial Phoenix Mill Events, it was apparent that Emily and David wanted to honor past traditions while still looking forward towards the future! The inside of the chapel reflected the beauty of their wedding in the same way that the light reflected off the walls, giving the entire room a warm, soft glow. Phoenix Mill Events contrasted the timeless architecture of St. John's with sleek decor and a urban vibe which perfectly fit the party that was sure to last long into the evening.
Emily and David, our times with you have been some of the best, most memorable moments we've had with any couple, from a zoom call with absolutely no sound to getting that special veil shot before we said goodbye! Your friends said it best: there is so much love and joy in both of you, and anyone who meets you two is blessed by how you affect their lives. We know you have affected ours and as we look back through your photos one last time, we can only imagine how many people you are going to impact with your lives in the years to come!
All our best!
J + A
