Emily + Josh | Downtown Wedding | Watermark Solarium | Stevensville, MI

The room had been emptied and the only two people left in the room slowly moved towards each other. The whole day had gone by in a whirlwind of excitement and emotions, but for right now, the atmosphere was calm and quiet, and as the music softly started, the rest of the world disappeared as the new Mr. and Mrs. Wallace danced to their "Last Song" before heading out for their exit. In a world where chaos and confusion are slowly becoming the norm, this moment in time perfectly captured the spirit of the wedding day: two people coming together in pure joy as they become one.
Although the threat of rain loomed over their wedding day for the past week, Emily and Josh were able to take the morning in stride, saying multiple times "Hey, it's our wedding day, it's going to be amazing no matter what happens." Often times during weddings, we can hear family members and guests reminding the bride and groom that everything will work out perfectly; however this might be the first wedding we've ever been to where the bride and groom were the ones encouraging everyone that it was going to be a great day! This laid-back perspective on their day allowed Emily and Josh to not only enjoy their day from beginning to end, but also make sure that their friends and family were able to enjoy and celebrate with them as well!
Early in the day, as we drove through the buildings of downtown Stevensville, the GPS was telling us that we were quickly approaching the Watermark Solarium. Rounding the last corner, the beautiful "Solarium" sign suddenly appeared from the midst of the surrounding buildings, and as we walked inside the front gate, the outside world seemed to disappear as we were caught up in the romantic atmosphere of this offshoot of Watermark Brewery Co. Although this venue has only been around for a couple of years, they have already perfected their "high-end brewery" ambiance with a design that was adored by all of Emily and Josh's guests. By the time we had finished touring the grounds, our toughest decision of the day was when to stop trying new and different locations with Emily and Josh for their bridal portraits!
Emily and Josh, as we watched you two interact with your friends and family, we couldn't help but notice that you genuinely cared more about others than yourselves on your wedding day. From Josh helping people find their seats literally minutes before the ceremony started, to both of you making sure to talk with everyone at their tables during dinner, your attitudes and spirits set the tone of the day for everyone else! As you two begin this life together, don't stop being that foundation for others; be the calming voice in the storm and the helping hand when others need it the most! We love you two, all our best!

During the day, you could randomly find Emily's little sisters happily twirling in their flower girl dresses.

I spy with my little eye...something BLUE!

Emily, your shoes were both beautiful and fun all at the same time!

The genuine joy and love expressed after Emily's first look with her bridesmaids was simply the sweetest!
