Erin + Ben | Engagement | Journeyman Distillery, Three Oaks, MI
"Erin, why Ben?" We love getting to ask these questions. It's through the answers that we get to hear the heart of why the one chose the other. One of Erin's sweet responses was, "I just can't imagine my life without him!"
These two are just adorable. We know, we know. We probably say that a lot...but it's 100 % TRUE!
We always ask our guys at the beginning of each session how exactly "excited" he is for photos. We definitely understand that photos are probably not on the list of "favorites" of the week for our grooms, and we definitely can't blame them at all! But Ben's response surprised us. "Yeah, I'm excited!" And it was so evident throughout the evening that he was genuinely super happy to be getting photos with his beautiful bride-to-be, Erin!
So let us just say again, these two = adorable.
After the shoot, we got the honor of getting to spend more time with these two over dinner! When possible, we welcome any opportunity to hang out with our couples during time that we aren't hidden behind the camera. What a privilege it was to get to know these two even more! We can honestly say that we are genuninely looking forward to showing up on their wedding day as friends versus strangers!
During our dinner, Josh got to ask Ben his version of the "proposal story" and it did not disappoint! We loved hearing about the crazy changes of plans due to covid, how Erin searched all over the house trying to find if Ben had gotten a ring, how how Ben had secretly hidden it in a card game box knowing it was a place she would never look, and then to how he 100% surprised her in front of her family and friends during a pool party!
We were able to capture these photos in front of Journeyman Distillery; the venue where these two will say "I do" next July! How exciting!!
Erin and Ben, your wedding day is going to be absolutely gorgeous and we cannot wait to spend the day with you two! Keep enjoying this "engagement season" and laughing and smiling together!
