Julie + Chris | Engagement | South Haven, MI

Timing is everything during the engagement season. Between the planning and the meetings, being intentional with your time can be one of the most difficult parts of being engaged. But it is so worth it! As Julie and Chris arrived in town for a single, solitary week to complete most of their planning and meetings for their destination wedding in Michigan, the four of us started looking at our schedules to see if it would be possible to sneak in their lakeside engagement shoot! South Haven continues to be one of our favorite locations in all of southwest Michigan, and Julie and Chris' engagement shoot only served to freshly remind us of how much we love this little town!

In spite of being insanely busy during this quick trip to Michigan, Julie and Chris were the essence of joy and fun on their engagement shoot! From the first moment we started taking photos, the four of us were laughing and joking around, making it even easier to capture their joyful spirits from the downtown to the beach! We kept catching them saying "You are looking so good!" and "Look how handsome you are!" whenever we would turn our cameras around to show them little sneak peeks during the session. However, more than anything else, their thoughtfulness is what defined these two throughout the evening. Not only would they focus on each other throughout the session, but they even surprised us with a little gift!

Julie and Chris, our only regret in meeting you is the fact that now we are so bummed you two live so far away! We so enjoyed our time together, getting to watch you two interact and simply be in love in front of the camera! Remember to continue putting each other first in the engagement season; you both are so good at it already! Is it bad if we are excited for your wedding just to hang out with you again? Is that ok? We think so!
