Julie + Frank | Engagement | Downtown Chicago, IL

It started on a beach in South Haven, Michigan. As Julie and Frank walked down the shore, Julie was totally unaware that behind them, two photographers were capturing the seconds leading up to one of the biggest moments of her life. Fast forward almost nine months later and those same photographers were meeting with Julie and Frank again, this time to celebrate their engagement with photos in iconic downtown Chicago! From the busy streets to a stunning skyline, the only thing that showed up this beautiful city was the couple in front of our cameras!

As we explored to streets of Chicago with Julie and Frank, we felt like these two embodied everything beautiful about this city. Their classic, sophisticated style combined with their excitement about celebrating their engagement in their home town paired in such a way that one would have thought they take photos in downtown Chicago every other week! And yet, they were still able to make their shoot stand out as unique to them with little touches like a champagne pop in the park and appearances from the sweetest dog, Gibson; completing an evening that celebrated each and every beautiful aspect that makes these two so special.

Julie and Frank, the more times we meet you two, the more we become thankfully for being a small part of your story. Your grace and generosity towards others is truly inspiring to us, and as we spend time with you, we can so clearly see how you both draw out the absolute best in each other. We are counting down the days before we get to come back to Chicago to celebrate with you two at The Drake Hotel, and this time, it won’t be for your engagement, but for your wedding!
