Kelsey and Chayse | Engagement | Warren Dunes State Park | Sawyer, MI

We love it when a couple shows up at a session expecting to have a good time. Don't get us wrong, we know that taking photos does not fit into everyone's idea of "having a good time," but there's just something different about the initial meet-up when everyone shows up knowing that we are going to have a blast with each other! And after the first few seconds with Kelsey and Chayse in the parking lot at Warren Dunes State Park, we knew that these two came to have a night full of fun!

When we first offered our new location to Kelsey and Chayse, we had no idea that they had both already seen another engagement shoot at Warren Dunes State Park and had sent each other the photos saying "This is where I want to have our engagement shoot!" The wide open fields, massive sand dunes, and stunning beaches gave Kelsey and Chayse the amazing variety that they wanted while not having to hike for miles and miles to get from one place to the next. Plus, we simply tend to have a lot of fun at Warren Dunes and after spending the evening with Kelsey and Chayse, we think "fun" is a perfect way to describe them as well: a match made in heaven!

Kelsey and Chayse, we think you said it best during the shoot: "We know each other and we've quickly learned how we balance each other out!" We've encountered so many people who think that they need to change the other to become like them, but you two have so effortlessly leaned into your differences, and from that, we see you both thrive when you are around other people. Kelsey's passion and energy combined with Chayse's calm spirit and steadfastness create this dynamic duo of a couple, and frankly, we can't wait for their New Year's Eve Wedding celebration next year!
