Mackenzie + Mike | Engagement | Silver Lake Sand Dunes | Mears, MI

The adventure continued as each step took Mackenzie and Mike closer to the top of the enormous sand dune. Their dog, Margo, bounded after them, bringing even more life to the huge expanse that is Silver Lake Sand Dunes. However, even though the sand seemed to stretch for miles, the vastness of the dunes perfectly framed Mackenzie and Mike as two people in love, ready to spend the rest of lives together. It's on this canvas that Mackenzie and Mike celebrated their upcoming wedding, and we are so thankful we got to come along for the adventure!

We were connected with Mackenzie and Mike through another of our J + A brides and grooms, and the fact that we will get to see both of these beautiful couples at each other's weddings is literally too good to be true! Although Mackenzie and Mike aren't from our neck of the woods, their "stomping grounds" of Silver Lake Sand Dunes was the perfect place for their engagement session, not only because it is one of the beautiful natural areas in all of Michigan, but also because it is truly "them." The whole evening was spent adventuring with Mackenzie and Mike (and Margo) through areas that had sweet memories for them as they made new memories taking their engagement photos on the dunes!

Mackenzie and Mike, we firmly believe that your spirits are made up of 50% fun and 50% adventure! As we traveled from place to place with you, we saw how you both not only love the same things, but you actively encourage each other to have fun in the moment, which makes your adventures even more fun and exciting! We love how you two have found someone who shares so many of the same loves and interest in each other, and we can't wait to see how many more adventures you two go on as you get closer to your wedding day!
