Mandy + Shawn | Maternity | Downtown Grand Rapids, MI
Sessions with past J+A couples will forever be some of our favorite evenings on planet earth. You've already met in person before, so there is none of the "small talk when you meet for the first time"; and since they have already been in front of our cameras, we can direct less and take photos more! However, the greatest joy we get with past families is to hear about their stories since the last time we have seen them. Life has happened, memories have been made, and the evening is spent laughing and catching up with good friends; and on Mandy and Shawn's downtown Grand Rapids shoot, we had a lot to celebrate!
Mandy is a super-talented photographer herself and Shawn is a super-awesome husband who understands how important photos are to Mandy, (Major brownie points here! Husbands take note!) so whenever we see their email show up in our inbox, we might just get a little excited! It could just be a coincidence that a few days after commenting how much we would love more city-scape sessions, Mandy asked if their maternity session could be in or near downtown Grand Rapids. However, if that's the case, can we please get more coincidences in our life? Our usual "outdoors" vibe took a back seat to the elegant, city-scape that Grand Rapid's streets had to offer, and after seeing Mandy and Shawn in their stunning formal-wear, this session was simply destined to be one of our favorites!
Mandy and Shawn, the more we hang out with you, the more we truly consider you friends! This friendship only makes us more excited for you two as you move closer and closer to this beautiful new stage of life called "parenthood!" When we see how much fun you two are together, we know that baby Slane will be the perfect combination of Shawn's playful personality and Mandy's sweet countenance! We are beyond honored that we got to share in this special moment with you, and we can't wait to celebrate with you when baby Slane makes their appearance!
