As the grass begins to peek out from under its blanket of snow, we find ourselves at the end of a magical winter season. From perfectly stunning weddings to warm and cozy engagement shoots, this winter has helped us fall in love all over again with the fact that our beautiful state blesses us with all four seasons during the year! And we can't think of a more perfect way to celebrate the winter with two final blogs, one this week and one next week from one of our favorite Grand Rapids locations: Hager Park.
From the first moment that Meredith and Trevor hopped out of their car, these two showed us that getting a chance to celebrate their engagement was way more important than worrying about weather that was "a little cold." Hailing from the upper peninsula, Meredith and Trevor never once complained about the cold and kept telling us "Nope, we are totally fine!" when we kept asking about warm up breaks. But as the session went on, we have another theory as to why they didn't mind the cold: they just love getting to spend time with each other. Sometimes people just to seem to "mesh" in a way that you can't explain, but once you see them together, you really can't imagine knowing them without each other, and as we left the session, that's exact how we felt about Meredith and Trevor!
Meredith and Trevor, you not only showed us what it looks like to completely dominate an engagement session in the snow, but you also reminded us what it looks like when two people simply love being around each other. So often the world gets wrapped up in the "emotions" and in the "feelings" of being engaged, and yet you two have such a beautiful perspective: you just enjoy being with each other. Although we won't get to spend your wedding day with you, we are so thrilled to celebrate with you when you get married and you get to spend the rest of your lives with each other! ( After all, you are already pros at it!)
