Molly + Charlie | Beautiful, Fall Wedding | Black River Barn | South Haven, MI

What's the first word that comes to your mind when you think of "fall"? Maybe it's the vibrant colors as the trees change from green to lovely shades of red, yellow, and orange, or perhaps it's the lovely smell of the smoke coming from a fresh fire or the aroma of your friend's pumpkin spice latte. All of these things and more create the season we know of as "fall", but one word you may not think of is "balance." After a season of extreme heat and fun like summer and right before a season of extreme cold and coziness sits "fall," a perfect balance where two opposites come together to make something beautiful. What better way to describe Molly and Charlie on their beautiful fall wedding: "two opposites coming together to create something beautiful."

When these two come together, we truly mean it: they create something beautiful. One only needs to spend a few minutes with these two before you see the little moments where it's so easy to see these two are perfect together. Charlie's laughter and joy combined with Molly's care and love for others continually uplifts those around them. From the elaborate hand crafted items lovingly made by Molly's father and friends, to the many diligent hands we saw at work behind the scenes when we first arrived, it was evident to see how much Molly and Charlie are loved! During the speeches, their two closest friends gave us all a glimpse of that love, recounting memories of meeting both Molly and Charlie that both ended with, "Once I met Molly/Charlie, I knew we were going to need to start planning for a wedding!"

Although Molly and Charlie's wedding was scheduled for the end of October and plans were put in place to keep their guests cozy and warm, Michigan had one last surprise for everyone as a cool week gave way to the most gorgeous, temperate October weekend we have ever personally experienced! Worries of snow faded away as the temperatures soared into the 70s, allowing everyone to enjoy both the inside and outside grounds of South Haven's Black River Barn. From the sunlit outdoor ceremony, Molly and Charlie's guests were treated to the perfect evening as BRB was able to open their entryways to create an all-in-one space for people to enjoy cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing the night away!

Molly and Charlie, a little less than a year ago, we were spending the evening with you two as we braved the wind and cold. What better way to bring the story full circle than with the warm sun and a huge celebration with all of your closest friends and family! The balance you create together is such a beautiful picture of the best aspects of marriage, how two people come together not to get, but instead to give. The journey before you is truly incredible, but we can confidently say it's going to be so much more because you two have each other!
