Morgan + Nick | Bright, Joyful Wedding | Black River Barn | South Haven, MI
We've all heard the adage, "You don't just marry the person, you marry their family too." Although many have used this little phrase as a sober warning over the years, if someone were to tell Morgan and Nick this little statement, these two would simply look at each other, smile, and say "We know. Isn't that amazing?" Throughout the week leading up to their wedding, we caught glimpses of this beautiful relationship that Morgan and Nick have with their families, which only served to magnify the beauty of their wedding day at South Haven's Black River Barn!
We've joked with each other that Morgan and Nick are the quite literally our "South Haven Bride and Groom." Not only did they get their engagement photos taken in South Haven a year ago on the 17th of September, but their wedding also occurred in South Haven on September 17th, just one year later! Although both friends and family shared shared the same sentiment during their speeches, we would be remise to not share how the character of these two makes the room shine as both Morgan and Nick simply radiate a soft, yet radiant love for each other. From the first moment they saw they each at the ceremony to dancing through the evening, there was not a single guest who could argue that these two were not completely captivated by each other.
Black River Barn has become almost a type of "second-home" to us in Southwest Michigan as far as wedding venues are concerned. Maybe it's the grand ballroom which not only seated all of Morgan and Nick's guests but also still had room for a live band and a dance floor; or perhaps it's the fact that every time we visit Black River Barn, we seem to find a new angle or new location for stunning bridal portraits. Either way, from the first moments that Morgan stepped into the bridal suite at BRB, to their last run down the outdoor aisle under the glow of the sparkler celebration, Black River Barn could not have been a better venue for Morgan and Nick's joyful wedding!
Morgan and Nick, from that little beach on South Haven to the ballroom of BRB, we have absolutely loved our adventure with you over the past year. When we meet a couple like you who have the perfect balance of lighthearted fun and intentional maturity, we find these "goodbyes" to be especially bitter sweet for us. We constantly heard your friends and family share throughout the day of how you both have impacted their lives, and we can only imagine how that impact is going to grow now that you are married! Oh, and just so we can get it on our calendar, same time, same place next year, alright?
