Morgan + Nick | Engagement | South Haven, MI

Sometimes finding the perfect location can be the hardest part of a photoshoot. You always want to make sure you are capturing the right aesthetic for each shoot, and sometimes that means calling a last-minute audible to make the evening simply "perfect." After finding out that our original location for Morgan and Nick's engagement shoot was currently overrun with a nasty spread of poison ivy, our last minute change turned out to be a huge blessing in disguise! From the woods of Pilgrim's Haven to the shores of North Beach, this was our first time back in South Haven for a shoot in quite a while! We still can't believe that a town with so many locations is so close to us, and after all of the sessions we've had in this little coastal Michigan town, we are still finding beautiful, new locations for photo shoots!

When we first met Morgan and Nick via Zoom, we specifically remember seeing their eyes light up as we asked them how they met and hearing the excitement in their voices as they shared how Nick proposed, like it had just happened the day before. After we finally landed on a much better location to start their engagement shoot, Morgan and Nick immediately showed us how they complement each other so well! Their sweet spirits were literally shining only minutes into the shoot, and while we normally tell our couples that "the first 15 minutes may be a little awkward!", these two weren't five minutes into their photos and we could already tell that they couldn't take a bad photo! And once you scroll through their gallery, we think you will see what we mean!

Morgan and Nick, we left your session conflicted: we had such a great time with you two and yet we felt so sad that we weren't going to get to see you again until next year! Enjoy the planning, the prepping, and all of the fun that comes along with simply being engaged! It's such a sweet season, and after spending the evening with you two, we know that you are going to enjoy it to the fullest!
