Red, White, & Blue | South Haven, MI | Extended Family Shoot
We couldn't help it. They all arrived to the photo shoot wearing red, white, and blue. This Saturday is the Fourth of July...and this adorable, amazing family had their outfits ON POINT! Like we said...it's perfection just couldn't be helped!

Meet the "Stevenson-Extended-Family"! (Yes, we know that's not all your last names...but since Lindsey did the booking, she officially gave you all her last name...Thanks, Lindsey!!)
It was VACATION week in South Haven for this Indianapolis family. When Lindsey contacted us about capturing their family photos, we could immediately tell that this family was going to be fun! We met them all in the parking lot, learned everyone's name, and then set out down to the beach for some family photos. What ensued next were lots of laughs, talks of magical Disney photoshoots, playing in the sand, and lots of attempts of parents behind the camera coaxing children to look and smile...and yet we still managed to keep in that one hilarious photo. Don't worry. You'll find it;)

The joy this family had for one another was so evident. We enjoyed seeing the grandparents dote on their grand babies, the uncles playing with the nieces, the 3 daughters cheering as their parents were getting their own sweet "couple photos", the cousins playing around in the sand and their faces lighting up from encouragement from their parents, and oh so much more! We wish you all could have been a "fly on the wall" to all the fun we had!

Stevenson-Extended-Family, you all were seriously AMAZING! Your kindness, joy, and sincerity would make anyone relaxed and enjoy being around each and everyone one of you. It was easy to tell that you all were were genuinely having a blast vacationing TOGETHER and just enjoying loving on each other. May you have many more vacations filled with joy and fun! We hope to see you all again!

But wait, there's more! We had said our goodbyes and were walking back to our cars when Abby came and gave me this gift. She then told me that she had read my "30th Birthday" blog and that she and her hubby had also struggled with infertility and that their sweet curly blond cutie was their miracle baby. I don't remember the last time I've been so touched. I was tearing up on the way home while reading her sweet, sweet letter of their story and hearing the meaning behind the things she gave me. It's times like these that God is so evident and gracious. It may be our goal to be huge blessings to the couples and families that we get to photograph...but sometimes, the role is reversed. Thank you, Abby, for your kindness! It will never be forgotten!
