The Hundred Acre Wood Birthday Party: Grayson, Georgia

Updated: Apr 27, 2021

It was a rather "blustery" day in the Hundred Acre Wood when Everett's family came together from all across the forest to celebrate a very special occasion; his very first birthday! Although Everett already has a great love for many things, few things are as loved as "Winnie the Pooh" and his friends, so his parents knew exactly how to decorate the house and design the theme of the day.

As soon as we walked inside, we instantly started looking for all of the creative names and decorations Everett's family used to bring the "Hundred Acre Wood" to a little forest in Georgia. Each treat was specifically picked so as to have a "Winnie the Pooh" theme, along with decorations that made us feel like we had fallen right into one of the old Disney cartoons we would watch as kids!

The entire food table is where Kendra's creativity was expertly displayed! True love was shone through all the attention given to the cute details that made this party so special.

If we learned anything from this party, its that creativity does not have to be costly. Most of these decorations were either found or made by hand, and yet you would never be able to tell the difference. And to be honest, how much more fun did Everett's family have in making the decorations than they would have had in just buying them at a store? What's something around your house that you could be truly creative with?

And then...the CAKE!! (Yes, Kendra made this cute little thing!!)

Please note the yellow digger truck fork that he got as a birthday gift. It NEVER left his hands for the rest of the entire day!

"BEST GIFT EVER!!"

-Everett, Age 1

Oops...did we forget to mention that the cake wasn't a "smash"?! While all the happy excitement of the singing and attention was totally awesome...this sweet little guy decided that messy, dirty hands...yeah, that part was NOT exciting!:D

Oh, yes, you better believe we had some extra time to snap some family photos!!

Seriously, how adorable is this mantle! Brought us back to our childhood of watching "Winnie the Pooh" cartoon episodes!

Oh the joys of sisters and best friends being all in one place!

Speaking of joy...

THIS PHOTO!!! (insert laugh-crying-emoji) This may have been a favorite from all us of this day!! And Everett's giggle...the BEST!

Happy Birthday again, little buddy!! We want you to know that we think your parents are pretty special and super cool! They are doing an awesome job raising you! Keep living the dream where plastic forks are the only things needed for happiness! Love ya buddy!:)
